Not-for-profit
Our aim at yoga darśana is to make yoga accessible to all. We strongly believe that yoga should not be confined to a certain socio-economic class or grouping. Through partnerships with other nonprofits, Yoga Darśana sends instructors to need-based communities for youth, seniors and adults facing poverty, homelessness, abuse, addiction & more. We aim to make yoga and wellbeing practices equally accessible to all.
Yoga for the People
Yoga in it’s inception was a means of attaining ‘freedom’ from inequality and suffering. Through the practice of yoga asana and the other 7 limbs of yoga, individuals begin to experience a state of harmony and balance in their lives. Thus achieving mastery in their material and spiritual lives. We want everyone to have the opportunity to experience the power of Yoga.
Mixed Ability
We also know that not everyone has the same ability and this is why we will also come to you and your organisation, if for any reason you cannot attend in studio classes. Please contact us here for more information regarding our outreach services.
All Ages
We believe in teaching our children the power of kindness, harmony and balance, in how they relate to themselves and each other- from a young age. If you have a child or teen who would like to attend yoga, please do not hesitate to get in contact. They are also welcome to attend the Community Yoga class, Sunday’s at 1pm, accompanied by a guardian.
Community Focus
Creating a Community of Healthy, Flourishing Human BEings is at the centre of our ethos. We are all Human Beings and every single one of us should be able to experience the power of yoga ( freedom, truth and union).
Check out our free/donation based offerings. Including Community Yoga Sunday 1pm.
Heartfulness Meditation Sunday 8.30am.
Both can be attended free of charge or on a donation basis.
How do we achieve our goal?
How do we make yoga accessible to all? With your help!
By attending a paid yoga class in our studio, you are helping us to make yoga accessible to all. After our teacher’s are paid, rent, electricity & booking system costs are covered, any profit that the studio does make is apportioned to making yoga accessible to those that might not otherwise be able to attend yoga classes in a studio due to their physical ability and the socioeconomic and sociocultural inequalities that exist inIreland today.
